What’s it all about?

This site has been set up to track the exploits of our loosely conglomerated team which take part in sponsored charity events and team competitions.

So far we have two regular events on our calendar, the Buckmore Park Endurance Karting race to raise funds for the charity Down Syndrome Extra 21 and the London To Brighton/Southend Bike Ride to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.

Birth of a legend

The Monkie Knife Fight team was born in 2004 just before the start of a Buckmore Park 6 hours karting endurance race. This was due to a dire & immediate need to come up with a more imaginative karting team name than 'Wacky Racers'.

The origins regarding the choice & spelling of the team name is very complex and a closely guarded secret. This is known only to team members and a few trusted disciples and has absolutely nothing to do with someone being slightly dyslexic.
